*It’s been more than a year since Cardi B released new music but now she’s back and she has brought Megan Thee Stallion along for the ride.
Cardi and Megan have teamed up on a new song called “WAP,” the video for which dropped late Thursday, and features a surprise appearance from Kylie Jenner, Rosalia, Rubi Rose, Sukihana, and Mulatto.
“I just want to let y’all know, I wanna give you a heads up, with the music video, it’s going to be the censored version of the song, because the song is so nasty that YouTube was like, ‘Hold on, wait a minute, song might be too goddamn nasty,” Cardi teased in an Instagram video hours before its release. “So make sure you get the real s**t on all streaming platforms.”

Cardi opens up about her and Megan’s music video on New Music Daily on Apple Music. The full conversation will be available on Apple Music at 9 a.m. PT / 12 p.m. ET.
“I wanted a lot of different females, not just female rappers. … Y’all going to see it on the music video as well, from models to influencers and everything. And I really wanted the video to be very sexy, very clean, very nice, very cut,” Cardi explains.
“I’m like, ‘These are the girls that I personally like. That I like they music. That I really feel they are going to go mainstream, to me,'” she says, praising Rubi Rose, Sukihana and Mulatto.
During an interview with Massachusetts station Hot95.9, the “Money” rapper revealed why she wanted to collaborate with Thee Stallion.
“The song is really nasty…,” she said. “My verses and the hook has been the same since before Megan was there. So it just always been a nasty song and it’s like, ‘Who’s saying more nastier things than Megan?'”
