*In the wake of walking into a Pittsburgh hospital with stab wounds, as we reported earlier today, NFL wide receiver Terrelle Pryor has been arrested.
Pryor has been charged with simple assault. According to Pittsb urgh Police officials, the NFLer was involved in a “mutual combat” incident during a Nov. 30 dispute … and a female, as also reported earlier, has also been arrested.
Shalaya Briston, 24, has been charged with Criminal Attempt Homicide and Aggravated Assault.
According to law enforcement, cops responded to UPMC Mercy Hospital to speak with Pryor, 30, “who had arrived there in critical condition by private means just after 4:30 a.m.”

Here’s even more via a TMZ update …
Cops say they found a semi-automatic pistol in the front passenger seat of Pryor’s Mercedes-Benz … along with a TON of blood inside the vehicle.
There’s more, WPXI’s Amy Hudak says cops also recovered a Glock pistol with a flashlight.
Hudak also reports a witness at the hospital was overheard saying, “We should have just let him die.” Hudak says witnesses told police the two had a “very volatile relationship”: and that Pryor “always had his hands all over her.”
Here’s what the Pittsburgh Police Dept. had to say before this new info was released:
“Upon further investigation by detectives in the Violent Crimes Unit, it was learned the male’s injuries were incurred during an earlier dispute inside an apartment on the 200 block of Heinz Street on the city’s North Side,” police added. “During that altercation, a female victim also received injuries.”
“After consultation with the Allegheny County District Attorney’s Office, police have arrested two people believed to be mutual combatants in this incident.”

*Terrelle Pryor, an NFL wide receiver and former Ohio State quarterback was stabbed in Pittsburgh early Saturday morning, but is expected to make a full recovery.
Police officers were called to UPMC Mercy after a stabbing victim walked into the hospital just after 4:30 a.m. this morning, according to a Pittsburgh Public Safety spokeswoman. The victim was later confirmed to be Pryor. Saturday morning, police were seen at the Heinz Lofts apartment complex – where he lives.
Sources tell Action News 4 that a woman is in custody at Pittsburgh Police headquarters in connection with the stabbing. Her identity is not known.
Meanwhile, family members are with Pryor at the hospital, according to Gregory Diulus of Vantage Management Group, which represents the athlete. They have been told he’s expected to make a full recovery. Diulus said he expects to see Pryor on Sunday.
