*If we told you that a member of the singing DeBarge family got arrested, would you be surprised? Of course not, but we’ve got the deets, anyway.
DeBarge family member and singer, Chico DeBarge, was involved in a really bizarre bust the other day. According to reports, the singer was arrested in a Walmart parking lot in Burbank, California.
The story goes that cops reportedly saw him trying to use a wire to unlock his SUV. The thing is, they didn’t know he owned the vehicle and assumed he was trying to steal a car. He locked his keys in the car and was trying to get back in. The cops do a search and find methamphetamine in his pockets.
As you already know, DeBarge, who has an addiction problem, was arrested and of course, they searched his SUV. And the found his drug paraphernalia. Surprise, surprise. DeBarge was then reportedly booked at the Burbank City Jail before he was released. Formal charges are pending review by the City Attorney.

As TMZ notes, DeBarge had his heyday ’80s with his self-titled debut album featuring his hit single “Talk To Me” and followed it up with a second album … before he served prison time for drug trafficking.
