*Keke Palmer says she felt ambushed by “Bachelorette” alum Mike Johnson when he asked her out on a date on live television earlier this week.
We previously reported, Johnson tried to shoot his shot during an appearance on “Strahan, Sara and Keke” on Monday. Referencing his brief romance with singer Demi Lovato, Johnson shared, “I made a mistake. I don’t like dating in public.” Then he turned to Palmer and said: “But if I were to ask you if we could go on a date in the public…”
Palmer was left stunned and turned to co-hosts Michael Strahan and Sara Haines for aide, but they pretended not to hear her.

“I get real spooked about entertainers or reality [stars] … I don’t know, it really scares me to date people in the industry — that’s number one,” Palmer explained on “Strahan, Sara and Keke” Wednesday. “Number two: He asked me in front of everybody.”
When Sara asked if she felt “ambushed,” the 26-year-old replied, “I felt ambushed. I felt like it was a big ol’ gag.”
So if you were hoping for a Palmer and Johnson romance, it ain’t gonna happen.

“How would that make you feel?” Johnson asked KeKe of going on a date on Monday’s show, telling Haines and Strahan, “I heard she’s super adventurous.”
After the show, the reality TV star was criticized on social media for trying to make a move on the “Hustlers” star.
