*Wendy Bell is the Pittsburgh anchorwoman who was fired for making racially insensitive comments on Facebook, now she’s suing because she feels her former employer violated her civil rights.
Bell is suing WTAE TV for handing her a pink slip back in March after her Facebook post about the Wilkinsburg BBQ mass murders went viral. In her post, Wendy attributed the violence to thuggish black male millennials who have misplaced anger and get their kicks off killing each other and terrorizing their communities.
While some were offended by Bell’s comments, many more have been quite supportive and wonder what exactly she said that was so wrong? After all, there is some truth her comments. In case you missed it, you can read her post below.

In the now-deleted Facebook post, Bell wrote on March 21:
“You needn’t be a criminal profiler to draw a mental sketch of the killers who broke so many hearts. They are young black men, likely in their teens or in their early 20s. They have multiple siblings from multiple fathers and their mothers work multiple jobs. These boys have been in the system before. They’ve grown up there. They know the police. They’ve been arrested. They’ve made the circuit and nothing has scared them enough. Now they are lost. Once you kill a neighbor’s three children, two nieces and her unborn grandson, there’s no coming back. There’s nothing nice to say about that.”
The station was flooded with phone calls and emails about Bell’s Facebook post which they said racially profiled all black men. Bell’s attorney filed a federal lawsuit against the station, claiming she was fired because she’s white. Although, Black Twitter has accessed her curious hair texture and concluded that she is a biracial woman trying to “pass for white.”
Bell was fired 11 days after her FB post, even though her words about certain black males had a ring of familiarity to them.
