*Nick Gordon’s mom released a statement on the July 26 death of his former girlfriend, Bobbi Kristina Brown.
Speaking on behalf of her son Monday, Michelle Gordon said he has “suffered greatly” since the 22-year-old was found unresponsive in a bathtub in her suburban Atlanta home in January.
“The passing of Bobbi Kristina is devastating to Nick and our family,” Michelle said in a statement. “Nick loved and cared for Krissi deeply, and he has suffered greatly each and every day they’ve been apart. Nick and our family are in mourning, and we ask that you respect our privacy. Our thoughts and prayers are with both the Houstons and the Browns during this difficult time.”
Nick and Bobbi Kristina claimed to be married, but BK eventually confessed to her father, Bobby Brown, that she and Nick never actually wed.
