*YouTube TV is set to launch lower-cost streaming packages in early 2026, shifting away from its traditional all-in-one subscription model. The new options will let subscribers choose content based on their interests rather than paying for unwanted channels.
Cord Cutters News reports the platform will roll out more than 10 genre-focused packages, allowing users to build customized bundles at potentially lower prices than the current base plan, which costs $82.99 monthly and includes over 100 channels. Pricing details for the new packages haven’t been announced, though affordability is the primary goal.
A standout option is the YouTube TV Sports Plan, which will feature major broadcast networks, Fox Sports 1, NBC Sports Network, and all ESPN channels, including ESPN Unlimited. Subscribers can add NFL Sunday Ticket and NFL RedZone. The plan maintains YouTube TV’s signature features: unlimited DVR storage, multiview capability, key play recaps, and fantasy sports tools.

Additional genre-specific packages will cover news, kids and family programming, and general entertainment. Subscribers can combine multiple bundles, such as pairing sports with news, to design a personalized channel lineup.
The restructuring addresses growing consumer demand for flexibility and lower costs as streaming prices continue climbing. Current subscribers can stick with the base plan or transition to targeted bundles, while new customers can access promotional rates such as $59.99 for the first two months.
YouTube TV already provides a Spanish-language plan for $34.99 per month with over 28 networks and unlimited DVR. Current add-ons include Sports Plus ($10.99/month), Entertainment Plus ($29.99/month), and Spanish Plus ($14.99/month). The base plan supports up to six household accounts with simultaneous streaming and offers nine months of DVR storage.
