*Fans of “Sesame Street” have a new destination to explore, as YouTube has rolled out its most expansive free offering of the beloved series to date. Through a partnership with Sesame Workshop, the platform now hosts more than 100 complete episodes available at no cost, Variety reports.
For the first time, full-length episodes from past seasons can be streamed on both YouTube and the YouTube Kids app. The collection spans multiple eras of the long-running show and includes both newer episodes and historic installments that have shaped children’s television. Many of these entries had not previously been available for free streaming.
Among the newly accessible episodes are some of the show’s most recognized milestones. These include the 1969 debut episode “Welcome to Sesame Street,” the emotionally impactful “Goodbye Mr. Hooper,” and “Snuffy Is Revealed,” which resolved a long-running storyline involving Big Bird’s friend. Other highlights feature Fred Rogers in “Mr. Rogers Visits” and the fan-favorite episode “Maria & Luis Get Engaged.”
While YouTube now holds the largest free digital library of the series, it is not the only platform carrying “Sesame Street.” Netflix currently streams new episodes globally through its agreement with Sesame Workshop, while PBS stations and PBS Kids platforms offer same-day access in the U.S. HBO Max also continues to make a substantial catalog available to subscribers.
