These conditions have profoundly impacted her life, leading to her residence in a memory care facility.
Sabrina Morrissey, Williams’ guardian since 2022, has requested a three-month extension to continue overseeing the entertainer’s affairs. This decision follows a series of tests highlighting the severity of Williams’ conditions. However, the extension may face opposition, as attorneys representing Williams’ family are reportedly considering a challenge to Morrissey’s role, signaling potential tension in the ongoing legal saga.
Williams has been vocal about her frustration with the guardianship, asserting her mental competence. During a March appearance on “The View,” she expressed her discontent, stating, “I am not permitted to do anything but stay on this floor, the memory unit floor, where these people are 90 and 80 and 70. Look, I’m 60. Why am I here…where people don’t remember anything?”
