*Tyra Banks stirred up the internet this weekend during a holiday DJ performance in Sydney, Australia, leaving fans entertained and bewildered.
The 50-year-old supermodel paused her set to deliver a wildly animated monologue about Santa Claus allegedly sabotaging her SMiZE & DREAM ice cream brand. Her unusual performance went viral, generating waves of reaction across social media.
Dressed in a yellow Santa hat and a matching wig, Banks likely drew several side-eyes with her dramatic delivery. “Child, he ain’t biting that cookie. He ain’t sipping that cream,” she declared, before describing Santa’s supposed counterfeit ice cream scheme. She continued, “He taking a bowl from your cabinet… and he putting a little bit of cookie, and he putting a little bit of that milk, and he mixing it up. And then he put it in your freezer. And he trying to make it taste like Santa SMiZE, and it tastes like Santa sh-t!” At one point, Banks added, “I think I’m going crazy!” further fueling social media chatter. Watch the clip below.

Reactions online were split between amusement and concern. Some viewers questioned her behavior, speculating about substance use or erratic conduct, while others defended her as simply embracing her trademark quirky energy. One fan wrote, “She’s always been quirky like this and her entire brand is centered around it so back up off Tyra Banks.”
The appearance coincides with the release of Banks’ new holiday single, “Santa SMiZE,” inspired by her ice cream brand. The festive track, co-written with producer Jean-Yves “Jeeve” Ducornet, celebrates global desserts and family dynamics while introducing Banks’ playful alter ego, Santa SMiZE.
Discussing the project with Rolling Stone, Banks explained, “I love Christmas songs, and I was craving something that felt like a real, energetic family holiday party… I wanted people at holiday parties to wait for their family role to pop up and then shake their thing like, ‘Oh my goodness, Uncle Joe is doin’ too much.’”
Recording the song involved sessions in Sydney, including a high-tech studio provided by The Wiggles, and collaboration with Ducornet across continents via voice notes and calls.
“Santa SMiZE” marks Banks’ first musical release since 2004’s “Shake Ya Body,” proving that her creativity remains as bold and unpredictable as ever. Listen to the track below.
