*Bad Bunny took center stage at Super Bowl LX with a high-energy halftime performance, but neither his set nor the overall broadcast managed to break existing viewership records.
According to ESPN, Nielsen’s Big Data + Panel rating system measured 124.9 million viewers tuning in across NBC, Peacock, Telemundo, NBC Sports Digital, and NFL+. That total trailed the 127.7 million who watched the Philadelphia Eagles blow out the Kansas City Chiefs 40-22 on Fox during last year’s championship game. The Seahawks cruised past the Patriots 29-13 in a matchup that lacked much of the drama fans have come to expect. However, the telecast still claimed the title of most-watched broadcast in NBC’s 100-year existence.
Bad Bunny’s mid-game set pulled in an average of 128.2 million viewers between 8:15 and 8:30 p.m. ET, securing the fourth-highest halftime audience in Super Bowl history. Kendrick Lamar holds the top spot with 133.5 million in 2025, followed closely by Michael Jackson’s 133.4 million in 1993 and Usher’s 129.3 million in 2024.

Bad Bunny’s impact was even more pronounced online. His halftime performance amassed over 61 million YouTube views, easily outpacing the 21 million collected by the Turning Point USA broadcast featuring Kid Rock. Across social media platforms, his set generated 4 billion total views in just 24 hours, jumping 137% compared to the year before. International audiences accounted for over 55% of that engagement.
Spanish-language viewership also reached unprecedented levels. Telemundo’s coverage averaged 3.3 million viewers for the game and climbed to 4.8 million during halftime, establishing new records for Spanish-language Super Bowl audiences in the U.S.
“The Super Bowl and the NFL once again delivered a blockbuster audience across the NBC broadcast network, Peacock and Telemundo, and provided an unprecedented lead-in to our ‘Primetime in Milan’ coverage,” NBC Sports president Rick Cordella said in a statement.
“The Super Bowl and the Olympics are the two most powerful events in the world, and we salute our talented production, tech and announce teams who delivered best-in-class presentations for our viewers, stations and partners,” Cordella added.
