*A Los Angeles judge indicated she may soon order the sale of Nicki Minaj’s $20 million Hidden Hills mansion to satisfy a $503,000 default judgment owed to a former security guard.
According to Rolling Stone, during a recent hearing, Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Cindy Pánuco said, “My tentative is to grant this. I just want to make sure we’re getting it right.” She noted the only remaining document needed was a Bank of America statement showing Minaj’s mortgage payments since October 2022 and daily interest accrual.
Pánuco outlined a potential scenario, stating, “Let’s say there’s no bidder who offers the full $20 million, and it goes up for auction, and they don’t get fair market value, and it doesn’t cover everything… then I would use that evidence to help me to determine that.”

The dispute stems from a 2019 concert in Germany, during which former security guard Thomas Weidenmuller alleges Minaj and her husband, Kenneth Petty, attacked him. Court filings claim Minaj called a female security guard a “f**king bitch,” threw a shoe at Weidenmuller, and that Petty “PUNCHED Weidenmuller from the side and made contact with the right side of [his] face.” Weidenmuller required surgery for a broken jaw.
After Minaj and Petty failed to respond to the lawsuit, a default judgment was entered in March 2024. According to court documents, Weidenmuller requested the sale of Minaj’s mansion, purchased in December 2022 for $19.5 million, to collect the debt. He stated, “The property’s current fair market value is appraised at $20 million, yielding approximately $6 million in equity beyond the lien and exemption. That amount is more than sufficient to satisfy the judgment, plus accrued interest and enforcement costs.”
Weidenmuller’s attorney emphasized Minaj’s refusal to pay despite her wealth, writing, “Although it is regrettable that the extraordinary measure of forcing the sale of Minaj’s dwelling is required, that result is entirely the product of her intransigence in not making payment… yet, she has refused to do so despite multiple written requests for payment.”
The eight-bedroom mansion carries a $13,258,000 mortgage lien, and Minaj would be entitled to a $722,151 homestead exemption. Once the lien and exemption are subtracted, the sale could yield roughly $6 million, ensuring the judgment is fully satisfied.
“There is no doubt that the sale of the dwelling would satisfy the entire judgment, with millions to spare,” the filing concluded.
