*Onyx Collective and 20th Television have renewed the Hulu drama “Reasonable Doubt” for a third season.
The series, created by Raamla Mohamed and executive-produced by Kerry Washington and Larry Wilmore, follows Los Angeles criminal defense attorney Jax Stewart as she navigates personal struggles, family dynamics, and a high-stakes murder case. Produced by Disney’s 20th Television, the show is part of the Onyx Collective lineup.
The Season 2 cast included Emayatzy Corinealdi as “Jax Stewart,” McKinley Freeman as “Lewis Stewart,” Morris Chestnut as “Corey Cash,” Tim Jo as “Daniel,” Angela Grovey as “Krystal,” Thaddeus J. Mixson as “Spenser,” Aderinsola Olabode as “Naima”
“I am so incredibly excited to continue my career with Disney Entertainment Television and to have Reasonable Doubt renewed for a third season,” Mohamed said, per Deadline.
“Thank you to the teams at Onyx Collective and my new home at 20th Television for giving me the space to create this messy world with such refreshingly complicated and diverse characters. I promise to keep it spoiler free, but I can say that season three will have more Jax, more Lewis and more drama, so get ready!”
Corinealdi previously told EURweb that she loves that her character Jax is complicated and messy.
“You know, I can be messy. I can be hypocritical and all those things, too. Jax has so many layers to her. And that’s the one thing I loved about her the most. It can be messy; life is messy And that’s the thing I’ve related to the most,” said Corinealdi.
“Some people are always a mess,” the actress continued. “But it’s better when you have a bit of a balance. I think that’s what Raamla achieved so well—showing this woman that many of us know. Maybe we are her, but we see aspects of ourselves, you know, it’s like a mirror,” she continued.
“And portraying Jax that way was my favorite part about it because she doesn’t have it all. She thinks she has it all together,” Corinealdi said.
