*Rapper Yung Joc is mourning the heartbreaking loss of three young family members who perished in a tragic apartment fire in southwest Atlanta last month.
The deadly blaze broke out at Country Oaks Apartments, located off Fairburn Road in the Fairburn Mays neighborhood. According to Atlanta News First, the three victims, identified as Jhacari White, a 4-year-old boy, and his sisters Xhalia White, 9 months, and Xyla White, 1-year-old, were rushed to Grady Memorial Hospital, where they sadly succumbed to their injuries.
Yung Joc, host of Yung Joc & The Streetz Morning Takeover on Streetz 94.5, confirmed that the children were his nephew and nieces.
“I think I may have just dropped a bomb on people, because I don’t think people knew that that was my brother, my brother’s family, the kids,” said Yung Joc, whose real name is Jasiel Robinson, in a clip shared by Atlanta radio station Streetz 94.5.
“And, again, I just have to say it, because I want people to know that I intentionally did not want to speak out on it, because I did not want to overshadow this story. But the reality of it is, I’m human, we’re human, and I’m hurting,” the rapper added.

“My family’s hurting, my brother’s hurting, his girlfriend’s hurting, and I don’t think it’s really hit just yet, you know, because I think they’re still in shock a little. They’re hurt,” Joc said.
The reality tv star attended a candlelight vigil for the children on a day which would have been Xyla’s second birthday.
“I don’t know if you understand the level of trauma this brings to our community, and to the family that this affects, directly or indirectly,” Joc said.
“I’m sad, I’m hurt, I’m human, and I’m trying to be professional as I can,” he added in his emotional statement.
While officials suspect an electrical issue may have sparked the fire, the investigation is still underway to determine the exact cause of the tragedy.
