According to Vibe, the annual event, presented by Shell in partnership with Expedia, Miller Lite, and more, will kick off April 24 and span two weekends. Headliners taking the stage will be Lil Wayne & The Roots, Kravitz and Washington as well as Santana, Burna Boy, Bryson Tiller, Babyface, Tank and The Bangas, Gladys Knight, Big Freedia, PJ Morton, and Ledisi.
Morris Day & The Time, Terence Blanchard, Maze Honoring Frankie Beverly and Bishop Paul S. Morton with The Greater Sound will also be on deck to entertainer festivalgoers.
Tank and The Bangas lead singer Tarriona ‘Tank’ Ball voiced her excitement over her group’s headlining spot as she noted its placement on one of the promotional flyers for the festival.
“*CUE* Who’s that girl on the cover of the JAZZFEST 2025 POSTER? Well, wow. Never would have expected or asked for that in a million years. All I can say is thank you, it’s a beautiful honor to represent my city in this way,” she stated.

With it among the high-powered roster of headliners, Tank and The Bangas’ journey has noticeably elevated from its humble beginnings with the Jazz Fest. A fact Bell clearly knows when acknowledging the come up.
“It’s such a reminder to keep going no matter what. To claim every stage that you play on, and don’t worry about the ones that you don’t. I remember our first Jazzfest, we thought we killed it so bad!! Nobody was there but the workers and our family! lol we drew a decent crowd in the end and we just knew we’d get that call back the next year…we didn’t. We felt sad but we didn’t let it define us or work any less. I wanted to honestly keep going so I could feel deserving of such a big stage,” she remembers.
“Sometimes we have a tendency to even look at our blessings strange and question their beauty. Took me a while to realize that I’m gonna own whatever stage I’m on and even create a few for myself. So do that. On all of em. Congratulations to everyone, us music creators keep this city alive when there is no one here, and we will continue as long as that is in our hearts to do. *Heres to all the stages they make for us and all the stages we will create for us ;)”
