*Netflix’s upcoming crime drama Nemesis, created by Courtney A. Kemp and Tani Marole, has added eight actors to its recurring cast: Moe Irvin, Stephanie Sigman, Quincy Isaiah, Jay Reeves, Mike O’Malley, Khalilah Joi, Shane Johnson, and Siua Ikale’o.
Shane Johnson, who previously worked with Kemp as Cooper Saxe in “Power” and “Power Book II: Ghost,” will portray Harvey. The other new cast members include Irvin as Amos “Nightmare” Stiles, Isaiah as Gideon “Deon” Davis, Reeves as Jamel Brinkley, O’Malley as Detective Rick Viggiano, Sigman as Detective Nicolette Harper, Joi as Ella Wilder, and Ikale’o as Ika Manakani.
They join previously announced actors Matthew Law, Y’Ian Noel, Cleopatra Coleman, Tre Hale, Domenick Lombardozzi, Jonnie Park, Ariana Guerra, Gabrielle Dennis, Michael Potts, Sophina Brown, Jeff Pierre, and Cedric Joe.
Per Tudum: Nemesis is the story of two men on different sides of the law; the tale of what happens when an unstoppable force (an expert criminal) meets an immovable object (a brilliant police detective). What starts as a subversion of the heist genre, amped with thrilling life-or-death stakes, family dynamics and explosive action, becomes an exploration of what drives us, sustains us, and ultimately destroys us.
“Tani and I are excited to bring a hard-hitting psychological crime drama to Netflix, specific in location but broad in universal themes of right and wrong, love and loss, and loyalty vs. self-preservation,” Kemp said.
