*Brittney Atkins, daughter of rapper Ja Rule, tied the knot with Tevin Aitken in a Great Gatsby-themed wedding on May 23.
Vibe reports that the 29-year-old bride and her 31-year-old groom exchanged vows at Villa Barone Hilltop Manor in Mahopac, New York, surrounded by 250 guests, cascading waterfalls, and breathtaking mountaintop views. Ja Rule escorted his eldest daughter down the aisle, later sharing on social media, “Such an amazing moment for any father to walk his daughter down the isle… love you Babygirl.”
Brittney and Tevin shared handwritten vows to the tune of Kenny Lattimore’s “For You.” The festivities concluded with a spectacular fireworks display. Guests enjoyed butler-passed hors d’oeuvres before entering a peach floral-adorned ballroom, where the couple’s first dance to Alex Isley’s “About Him” set a romantic tone. A floral-decorated cake followed a sumptuous entree service, capping the evening’s opulence.
Brittney and Tevin’s romance began on a dating app, sparking an instant connection. Tevin proposed in September 2024 on a Jamaican beach, his birthplace, in a moment captured in a monochromatic video. Brittney accepted, posting on Instagram, “ISSA WIFE.”

“It is definitely a dream come true to be able to marry your best friend, someone not to just love but laugh and grow old with,” Brittney tells PEOPLE.
Brittney “handled most of the planning” for her wedding, telling the publication, “I went to a local wedding shop and I showed them some photos of what I was looking for.”
She added: “I made a decision that same day. I just knew it was the right one. It was just stunning.”
Brittney attributes her strong connection with Tevin to their knack for complementing each other’s strengths and weaknesses.
“[We] always make sure we see eye to eye in the end, even if that means to agree to disagree,” she says. “We admire both of each other’s passion and light in different things, we add to each other and teach each other new things all the time.”
The Gatsby-inspired celebration, blending vintage glamour with modern romance, marked a memorable milestone for the Atkins family.
