*Duane Martin and Tisha Campbell’s bankruptcy case has officially been closed, nearly ten years after they first filed.
Court documents show that their Chapter 7 filing, which began in January 2016, resulted in $16 million in claims being discharged without payment, In Touch reports. The trustee presiding over the case collected over $2 million from the sale of their home and other assets, while $1.7 million was distributed to creditors. Their bankruptcy also cleared most of their federal tax debt.
When Duane and Tisha filed, the exes reported $15 million in liabilities, including large loans and tax debts. Their financial struggles were compounded by personal expenses that far exceeded their income. Despite ongoing issues with the trustee, the debts were eventually discharged. According to court documents obtained by In Touch, the trustee filed a final report on July 16, 2024.
Tisha filed for divorce from Duane in 2018, after more than 20 years of marriage. At the time, she said, “After 27 years of being together and two amazing children, it pains me to announce that I’ve filed for divorce. It’s an emotional time and I graciously ask for privacy for me, our children and the rest of our family.”
In 2020, Duane and Tisha settled their divorce.

“I was married for over 20 years and out of that I was blessed with two AMAZING kid. Beyond that, l’m the happiest I’ve ever been,” the “Martin” star told PEOPLE after the case was finalized.
Duane and Tisha initially filed for bankruptcy in 2016. At the time, they claimed to have $313,000 in assets. Their petition said they had $200 in cash and $173 in a bank account.
