*Disney+ has shared a first glimpse of “Wonder Man,” the upcoming Marvel series starring Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, as part of a preview of its 2025 originals and returning hits. The fresh footage appears in a new 60-second sizzle reel highlighting what’s next for both Disney+ and Hulu on Disney+.
The clip includes never-before-seen scenes from “Wonder Man,” set to stream in December 2025. The series is created by Destin Daniel Cretton and Andrew Guest and will run for eight episodes. Per IMDB, the series centers on Hollywood actor Simon Williams, who is thrust into the world of superheroes as he gets powers of his own and becomes the new superhero Wonder Man.
As Comic Book Movie reports, Brad Winderbaum, Marvel’s Head of Streaming, Television, and Animation, praised the show, stating, “Wonder Man is eight episodes. It’s a very new flavor for Marvel. It’s straight from the minds of Destin Daniel Cretton and Andrew Guest. Honestly, it is one of my favorite things ever.”
He added, “I think it’s the best show no one’s ever seen, and I’m very excited to see the audience reaction to it. I think it’s a love letter to what we do as filmmakers. It’s a love letter to acting as a profession, and it’s a very sincere, beautiful show.”
Disney+’s 2025 sizzle reel also highlighted other upcoming series, including “Percy Jackson and the Olympians” Season 2, “Only Murders in the Building” Season 5, “King of the Hill” Season 14, and more. Watch the teaser below.
