*Beyoncé‘s mother, Tina Knowles, announced the passing of her older brother, Rowland Martin Buyince, at age 77 on Instagram.
“My Beautiful big brother Butch went to be with God this weekend,” Ms. Tina captioned a photo of her bother. “I will miss him so much,” she added.
She continued, “He was a career Airforce man . He loved riding Motorcycles was a black Belt in Karate and had the most beautiful green eyes and good looks . He was a great story teller. He had an incredible wife Jeanette and devoted daughter Dana two beautiful grandchildren Yvette and Roland. He was greatly loved. Sail on Butch❤️❤️Rowland Martin (Butch) Buyince’ June 1946 – Feb 2024 RIP.”
Tina’s celebrity pals posted condolences in the comments, including supermodel Beverly Johnson, Viola Davis, Yvette Nicole Brown, and Tina’s ex-husband, actor Richard Lawson.
Actress Holly Robinson Peete wrote, “Rest Well to your gorgeous big bro…what a full life he lived…sending you and your family love…”

Beyoncé dedicated her seventh studio album, “Renaissance,” to her late “Uncle Johnny,” who died from complications related to HIV when the singer was 17.
“A big thank you to my Uncle Johnny,” Beyoncé wrote on her website last year. “He was my godmother and the first person to expose me to a lot of the music and culture that serve as inspiration for this album.”
“Thank you to all of the pioneers who originate culture, to all of the fallen angels whose contributions have gone unrecognized for far too long. This is a celebration for you,” she added.
