*A Walmart employee was fired after posting a video of a seemingly mentally ill woman and her child, who was dressed only in a diaper in below-freezing temperatures while inside the store.

Felecia Darling told WLBT News she was fired for violating company policy by sharing the now-viral video on social media. In the clip, several shoppers confront the mother about her two-year-old son’s lack of clothing in frigid temperatures, prompting her to put a jacket on the child (according to witnesses in the video). At one point, she tossed a bag of frozen vegetables on the boy sitting in the shopping cart. The young woman also twerked in the aisle as observers called out her poor parenting.

The mother, named Kambria Darby, 26, is seen in the video walking around the store with her nearly nude young son sitting in the shopping cart while shivering from the cold. Police were called to the scene at the Walmart store in Byram, Mississippi, on January 17, and Darby was arrested. She is now facing a child neglect charge.

“You’re a mother, a child represents you,” Darling told WLBT News. “And if you come in the store fully clothed and your son is not, that shows a lot about your character and that shows a lot that you don’t care. How could you come in Walmart fully dressed knowing it’s a lot of people watching you? She probably thought nobody was going to step up, but, you know, we did.”

Child Protective Services reportedly placed the child with a relative. Darby claims in a video shared on social media that CPS removed all her children from her care.  After being released from jail, she defended her actions in a Facebook post, the Daily Mail reports.

@clat88 How are you fully clothed and your baby not? Then to have an attitude, I would’ve call them police so fast! #negligence #walmart #baby #winter #byrammississippi #clothes #fyp #foryoupage #viral #explore #tiktok #trifling ♬ original sound – user6822758429679

“This deformation (sic) of character is hurting my heart,” Darby wrote. “They did Jesus the same way, he felt sick to his stomach as well; he didn’t want to go through it.”

She added, “I haven’t seen my kids since they were taken away from me by CPS. Last night was my first night eating a few crackers since my kids have been gone,” she explained.

“I know this too shall pass. I know one day me and my kids will be reunited,” Darby said.

Meanwhile, Darby’s great-aunt, Marie Darby Pickens, 69, claims her niece is not a lousy mother. She also suggested that the woman is not on drugs.

“Everything I’ve seen with her and the kids has been positive,” Pickens, a retired social worker, told The New York Post. “I don’t condone what was done and it was right to be reported but we don’t know both sides of the story. Sometimes kids can be difficult not wanting to put their clothes on, or taking them off and maybe she was in a rush to pick up some things.”
