McDonald’s Breakfast Bagel Sandwiches Return to US Menus

*McDonald’s is bringing back breakfast bagels to all 14,300 US outlets later this year. 

The Daily Mail reports that the popular menu item has already returned in California, Pennsylvania, Nashville, Louisiana, Pennsylvania, Florida, Tennessee, Iowa, West Virginia, California, North Carolina, Ohio, Alabama, and New York.

McDonald’s added breakfast bagels to their menu in late 2019, but they were discontinued amid the 2020 COVID pandemic.

There are four varieties: Bacon, Egg & Cheese Bagel, Sausage, Egg & Cheese Bagel, Steak, Egg & Cheese Bagel which features grilled onions, and vegetarian customers have the Egg & Cheese bagel option.

Per Daily Mail, in a statement, McDonald’s said: “Our fans’ love for McDonald’s breakfast runs deep, and we love to see the passion they have for some of their favorite menu items. We’re always listening to their cravings and taking their feedback into account as we make menu decisions. Though bagel sandwiches are not available nationwide, they are a regional offering and currently available at participating McDonald’s in several markets.”

In related news, the chain recently announced that Krispy Kreme doughnuts will be available nationwide by the end of 2026. 

“The top request we receive from consumers, every day, is, ‘please bring Krispy Kreme to my town.’ Partnering with McDonald’s on a national scale will provide our fans and doughnut lovers unprecedented daily access to fresh doughnuts and the joy that is Krispy Kreme,” said Josh Charlesworth, Krispy Kreme’s President and CEO, per TODAY.com.
