*TikTok food critic Keith Lee is warning about deceptive food influencers in Indianapolis taking money from restaurants using his name.

In a TikTok video, Lee said that scammers began targeting local businesses after his plans to attend the NBA All-Star game in Indianapolis leaked.

“I would rather not make this video, but it’s come to my attention that people are scamming on my behalf, and I don’t want nobody falling victim to it,” Lee said in the clip.

“Apparently, food influencers that live in Indianapolis are going around to restaurants and charging these restaurants a fee and guaranteeing them that we’re coming and we gon’ try the food and there’s gon be a line out the door,” he added. “That’s not true. We going to Indianapolis for the game and the game only.”

Lee noted that he will never “charge small restaurants for anything.”

“I’m not charging those restaurants anything, and if anybody has ever told you anything differently, they lying,” he said. “They not with me. Cap. A lie. It’s not to be trusted. Get ‘em out of here.”

He has reviewed The Real Milk & Honey,  Juci Jerk, Atlanta Breakfast Club, Lil Baby’s The Seafood Menu, and Kandi Burruss’ ‘Old Lady Gang’ restaurant.

In December, Lee listed eight cities he visited in 2023, and Houston ranked second behind first-place winner New Orleans.

Lee claims he received death threats late last year after reviewing various soul food restaurants in Atlanta. As SandraRose.com reported, he appeared on the “Ryan Cameron Uncensored” podcast and said he won’t return to Atlanta because “People there put a hit out on me.”
