*Vice President Kamala Harris was captured on video accidentally applauding a protest song directed at her during her visit to Puerto Rico on Friday.

Harris’ visit to the Goyoco community center turned into a chaotic scene when demonstrators expressed their disapproval of her presence through songs, The Blast reports.

“We want to know, Kamala, what did you come here for? We want to know what you think of the colony,” the protestors sang in Spanish, adding: “Long live Free Palestine and Haiti, too.”

Harris applauded along, seemingly unaware that the song was about her until an aide brought it to her attention. That’s when she stopped smiling and lowered her hands.

On X/Twittersocial media, one Harris critic commented under the viral video, “Of course, in her own mind the initial thought is always that everyone else likes and admires her, for why should they think any different when it comes to herself?” To which another person wrote in response, “Umm idk I think it’s a normal thought to think that people who are singing too you are tryna be nice and welcoming or smt.”

Another person added, “It’s kinda cute how her body language pivots into “I feel your pain” mode.”

Per The Blast, one person called her the “dumbest person on the planet,” while another called her an “absolute loser.”

According to The Blast, Harris traveled to Puerto Rico to underscore Biden’s commitment to aiding the island’s recovery from recent natural disasters and economic challenges.
