*John Legend was roasted on social media after performing Nate Dogg’s part on the track “21 Questions” with 50 Cent during the singer’s 45th birthday celebration in New York City last week.

Footage of the performance quickly went viral, with one person on X/Twitter noting that Legend “made it sound like a negro spiritual.” Another X user commented, “Nate Dogg in heaven like… “N*gga you could’ve called Joe.”

A third person wrote, “On another note, I think Legend could play George Jefferson in a reboot.

As Complex reports, one critic added, “Why would John Legend get on stage and sing with 50 cent like that ????” Another commented, “Bruh the video of John Legend and 50 cent really brings me to tears.”

In related news, we reported previously that 50 Cent explained in a new interview that he initially offered his 2003 single “Magic Stick” to Miami rapper Trina before it went to Lil’ Kim.

[“Magic Stick”] was written for ‘Get Rich or Die Tryin’. And then it didn’t make it. I wrote that record intentionally to work with Trina. I sent it to Trina,” 50 said on the Apple Music show, Complex reports.

“They f*cked up the record, they sent it back. F*cked up. They had the lyrics and everything on it, and they messed it up,” Fif said of Trina’s team.

“Then Gee Robeson came and got it from me, heard the record, and was like, ‘Yo, I need this. I need this for Kim. I need it,’” he added.

“Magic Stick” appeared on her “La Bella Mafia” album. Fiddy said Kim took the song and “made a good record” reminiscent of the sexually charged lyrics on her debut album, “Hard Core.”
