*The life of rapper/music producer French Montana will take center stage for an upcoming Paramount+ documentary.
Produced by Live Nation Productions for MTV Entertainment Studios, “The French Montana Story: For Khadija,” chronicles the “Unforgettable” hitmaker’s journey to international stardom, from being raised in the Bronx by his mother to founding Coke Boys Records to being a part of Bad Boy Records as one its most successful artists.
As the product of a single-parent environment, Montana’s mother made many sacrifices to ensure her three sons would have a better life after their father left them. In its description of “The French Montana Story: For Khadija,” Ice Cream Convos, labeled the Mandon Lovett-directed feature as a tale of “resilience, determination, and that unbreakable bond with his family” that is “nothing short of a modern-day hero’s journey, all with a hip-hop twist”
“This is the best project I’ve ever worked on in my life,” said an excited Montana about bringing his life story to the masses as an executive producer, alongside Michael Rapino and Ryan Kroft. “It’s the first blueprint of an immigrant’s music dream, proving that anything is possible. It’s not about the awards; it’s about what we learn from the losses and sacrifices.”
“The French Montana Story: For Khadija,” will premiere in the U.S. and Canada on Nov. 19 on Paramount+, with it coming to the U.K. and Australia on Nov. 20. More international releases are set to follow for the documentary.
