*As of this posting, reality television personality Sidney Starr remains in the Fulton County Jail after a Fulton County judge deferred a decision on bond following her arrest on multiple felony charges involving an alleged sexual assault of a child.
The Fulton County Sheriff’s Office released Starr’s booking photo after her booking, showing the television personality, whose legal name is Sidney Favors, wearing a dark jail-issued jumpsuit with her hair pulled back.
As we reported earlier, Favors, 37, was arrested Sunday at the Embassy Suites on International Boulevard in Hapeville, near Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. The Hapeville Police Department charged her with aggravated child molestation, sexual battery against a child under 16, and sodomy.
According to arrest warrants, investigators allege Favors told detectives she performed oral sex on a juvenile boy at the hotel Sunday morning and described the encounter as consensual. Under Georgia law, a child younger than 16 cannot legally consent to sexual activity, making consent unavailable as a legal defense to the charges.
Authorities have released few additional details because the alleged victim is a juvenile.

Judge Leaves Bond Decision to Superior Court
Court records show Favors waived her first appearance Monday and did not appear before the judge in person.
Judge John Defoor II declined to set a bond amount, instead deferring the issue to Fulton County Superior Court. As a result, jail records continue to list Favors as being held without bond.
The court also appointed an attorney to represent her.
Her case has been placed on the pre-indictment status calendar for Aug. 25 in Courtroom 1B. During that hearing, the court could consider bond or conduct a preliminary hearing if the case has not yet been presented to a grand jury. Until then, Favors is expected to remain in the Fulton County Jail.
Investigation Moves to the District Attorney
In a brief statement, the Hapeville Police Department said it would release no additional information because the case involves a juvenile.
The investigation has since been turned over to the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office, which will determine how the prosecution proceeds.
Authorities have not publicly disclosed additional information about the investigation or what led officers to the hotel.
A Familiar Name Returns to the Headlines
Favors built a national following through reality television and social media, appearing on “Love & Hip Hop: New York,” “Wild ‘N Out,” “Atlanta Plastic,” Zeus Network’s “Baddies” franchise, and the Fox dramas “Empire” and “Star.”
She first became widely known in hip-hop circles in 2012 after falsely claiming she had been romantically involved with rapper Chingy following a fan photograph the two took together. Chingy consistently denied the allegation, saying he believed he was simply posing with a fan.
Favors later admitted the relationship never happened and publicly apologized. Chingy has since said the false rumor cost him business opportunities and negatively affected his career long after the claim had been disproven.
What’s Next
Favors has not entered a plea, and no public statement has been released on her behalf since her arrest.
Her next scheduled court appearance is Aug. 25, when a Superior Court judge could revisit the issue of bond or address other preliminary matters as the case moves forward.
The charges remain allegations. As with all criminal defendants, Sidney Favors is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.
