*Darius McCrary is taking a unique approach to paying child support.
The “Family Matters” star is selling merchandise with his latest mugshot to raise money to help take care of his son, reports icecreamconvos.
On Dec. 18, McCrary took to social media to reveal he is selling jailhouse orange hoodies featuring his name, mugshot, and inmate number for $50. McCrary added that the merchandise is available for those who “want to be in his business.
The fundraising comes after the 47-year-old actor was booked on Nov. 27, 2023, on one felony count of failure to pay child support. During his arraignment, the judge in the case set McCrary’s bond at $13,197.01 and mandated GPS monitoring.
Court documents reveal the “Kingdom Come” actor’s outstanding balance, as of March 12, 2019, is $52,788.04.

In addition to announcing his merchandise, Mcrary posted a video on his Instagram account addressing his child support issues. In the post, the former “The Young and the Restless” fixture stated his now 15-year-old son was kidnapped from him and his family more than 10 years ago.
The video goes on to state that McCrary was placed on child support in Oakland County, Michigan, and was later arrested for allegedly owing over $100,000 in unpaid child support.

McCrary’s fundraising is the latest legal development surrounding him and the child support he has to pay. The actor, who played James Brown in the BET series “American Soul” was previously arrested on a similar charge in 2015, Ice Cream Convos noted.
