*Carrie Bernans, a Marvel stuntwoman/actress is in bad, bad shape after being hit by a car while celebrating New Year’s Eve in NYC
On Monday, Carrie Bernans’ mother Patricia Lee posted pics of her daughter’s gruesome injuries which show her all bloodied up, while connected to machines (see above and below).
The elder Brenans says Carrie – who recently became a mother herself – had been walking with a friend when they stopped at a food truck, and a car careened into it … knocking Carrie unconscious and pinning her underneath.
“She’s still in so much pain and can’t answer calls at this time, but appreciate the messages,” her mother wrote in the caption, “This was a traumatic incident. Please keep Carrie in your thoughts and prayers. She’s in so much pain but healing.”
Lee continued about the incident: “She has a few broken bones, fractures, & chipped teeth but thanking God that she’s alive … Police caught him shortly after and arrested him. Amidst the chaos of the New Year’s incident, she’s holding onto an immense sense of gratitude for life itself.”

The crash which happened in Manhattan was so serious, it was declared a mass casualty incident — with 3 NYPD officers among 9 others who also were injured.
The cops were called to the scene around 1:40 AM Monday, and the driver — a 44-year-old man — is now in custody at Bellevue Hospital, according to TMZ.
The crash happened as a result of the driver fleeing from police after the initial incident.
Despite the traumatic crash, Patricia Lee says her daughter is healing and holding onto an immense sense of gratitude for life itself.
“This setback hasn’t deterred her belief that something remarkable is still being crafted by God,” Lee continued. “Despite the injuries sustained in the collision caused by a hit-and-run in NYC, she’s filled with hope and faith in the unfolding of a beautiful new chapter. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers as she navigates this path toward recovery and new beginnings.”
