*The Grammy Awards took place this month in Los Angeles and the city hosted several events to celebrate and honor some of music’s legends — including Missy Elliott, Lil Wayne, Dr. Dre, and Slick Rick.

Two events from Grammy week included ‘A Tribute to the Nominees: A Pre-Grammy Celebration’ hosted by Teyana Taylor and a ‘Celebration of Women in Music: A Pre-Grammy Affair’ hosted by Coi Leray, where Elle E.D. performed at both events. Kristine Mirelle co-hosted both events in partnership with the Los Angeles Boys & Girls club. Many social media personalities and influencers were in attendance, including Tik Tok star Antonio, known online as Hey Tony TV

Hey Tony TV features Antonio performing different skits as a school administrator at the infamous, fictional, Quarter-Brick High School.

“Comedy became my life,” Hey Tony TV told EUR on the red carpet at Leray’s Grammy event. “I started doing videos on Facebook, Instagram, you know at the time everybody was doing their Instagram thing. I had a friend tell me “you should try Tik Tok.” I thought it was a cheesy app or whatever that kids danced on. I gave it a try and from there it just took my career to a whole different place.”

The social media star also discussed how he continues to re-invent relatable content without running out of ideas.

“I’m a Cancer and my mind is always running,” said Hey Tony. “My mind is my playground 24/7. I don’t write anything down which is crazy because people think I write this stuff down but no I don’t. It comes off the top of the dome, I put the camera up and I film it. I’m always try to level up on the last video that people loved. Everything comes off the dome. I’m a crazy ass person that thinks crazy and I just film it.”

When asked how he continues to book the school where he films his content, Hey Tony TV jokingly said “it’s a secret.”

“They let me do whatever I want out there,” he continued. “They love me enough to let me film out there and give me my space to create.”

While producing and dishing out hilarious and relatable skits, Hey Tony TV has grown quite a fanbase, amassing over 4 million followers across his social media platforms. Many of his supporters have long voiced their opinion that Hey Tony TV would be a great addition to Quinta Brunson’s “Abbott Elementary” cast.

“I could definitely see myself as a coach or a music teacher or somebody like that,” said Hey Tony TV. “Quinta, I haven’t spoken to her; she liked one of my videos recently so you never know, she might be watching me. Quinta, call me girl. I’m ready.”

However, there is some definite acting in the very near future as Hey Tony TV confirmed he shot a movie.

“What I can say is, I got a movie coming out. It’s a horror movie. It’s called Hands of Hell. It’s slated to be released around Spring. Listen, it was out of my comfort zone. A lot of hard work. I got my ass beat. That’s all Imma say, I can’t tell y’all nothing else.”
