Texas Gov. Abbott Plans to Pardon Man Convicted of Murder in BLM Shooting | WATCH

*Ain’t this about a blip! If Texas Governor Greg Abbott has his way (and he will ’cause he’s the guvnah), he will pardon an Uber driver convicted of murder in the July 2020 shooting death of a man at a Black Lives Matter protest in downtown Austin.

Abbott said he will pardon Daniel Perry, 37, a U.S. Army sergeant, as soon as a request from the parole board “hits my desk.”

Abbott, a Republican (who woulda guessed?) wants you to know that he can grant pardons only on the recommendation of the state’s Board of Pardons and Paroles, but that he is allowed to request pardons.

Well, isn’t that convenient? Get the full, crappy story via the via above.
