*A group of teenage thieves was caught on cell phone video ransacking an Amazon delivery truck in broad daylight, and the helpless driver watched.
The incident happened near Atlanta, GA, on Nov. 13. The female driver told police that she secured the truck before delivering a package to the Country Oaks Apartments in the Fairburn Mays neighborhood, but the thieves broke into the vehicle.
Cell phone video shows about six Black youths grabbing items from the truck and quickly fleeing the scene. The driver exited the apartment complex as the madness unfolded and watched as the Amazon truck was raided.
According to SandraRose.com, “Amazon and other package services won’t deliver to certain neighborhoods in Atlanta due to the high crime,” the outlet writes.
It is unclear who the thieves were or what was stolen from the truck.
On X/Twitter, several social media users believe the driver left the truck unlocked and unattended. One user commented, “Is this the driver’s fault for not locking his truck?”
Another noted, “Sadly, the driver will be fired for leaving it unlocked but they are on a super tight schedule and leaving it open probably saves time.”
A third added, “Some of those deliveries are stuff that directly affect other people’s lives. There must be zero tolerance for this act!”
Another X user suggested Amazon stop “going to that hood.”
