*SZA is Variety‘s Hitmaker of the Year and told the outlet how disappointed her song “Consideration” was taken from her and used as Rihanna’s Anti opener. “I was so frustrated and felt like I’d never make something that cool again…it was the centerpiece to my album at the time…In hindsight, it was so hard to accept. But now I’m so glad it happened. It cost me nothing, I gained so much from it,” said the songstress. However, fans called cap on her interpretation of events, “Sza also forgot to mention that she took the song to a literal writing camp where they [sell] songs and she played it for Rihanna, this girl just wants attention.” Another person did not hold back their disdain for SZA allegedly misrepresenting the facts, “she so annoying. She’s told this story in so many iterations. You’re being paid to be in this writing camp. It’s not to put you on, it’s to grow RIHANNAS BRAND. She plays what she thinks is the only fire she has in her arsenal for whomever and that gets chosen and she begins to regret it. Like what exactly did you want from playing them the song? Them to love it And decide to make you a big star and say f–k RIRI? She’s so frustrating but so talented so it’s like you gotta take the delusional with the talent. She also gave mix messages about Snooze. Leon Thomas and Baby Face had the song fleshed out. Leon went on Zane Lowe and said Sza did a drive-by in the studio and heard the song and liked it. Maybe she wrote some and edited some but the chorus and bridge were done . Maybe even the first verse (Leon has his own version online and it fits fantastic) but she felt the need to make a story on IG saying she wrote all of snooze and she takes her writing seriously. 🚩” Artists sometimes make up their own reality, but as she said, it all turned out well for her.
