*An anonymous caller falsely reported that Nicki Minaj’s child was being abused, leading to a swatting attack at her California home.
As Page Six reports, someone called child services on the hip-hop star. When Los Angeles Police Department sheriff’s deputies showed up at Minaj’s residence, she was questioned and the 2-year-old child was examined. According to TMZ, officials ultimately determined there were no signs of abuse.
Hours later, another call was placed to 911 with a false report about a fire at Minaj’s house. Law enforcement eventually determined the rapper had been a victim of “swatting.”
“Swatting is a cyber harassment technique with a goal of sending an armed emergency response team to a victim’s location,” per CloudFlare.

Celebrities who have been targeted in swatting attacks include Justin Bieber, Rihanna, Tom Cruise, Chris Brown, and Diddy.
According to Page Six, Nicki Minaj intends to pursue legal action against those involved.
Meanwhile, we reported previously that Nicki Minaj will star in and executive produce a new Amazon Freevee animation show titled “Lady Danger” — hailing from the Dark Horse Comics series.
She is teaming up with 50 Cent on the project that will be part of 50’s G-Unit Film & Television production company. Per Deadline, the story takes place in 2075 and follows an “agent who is left for dead by her team after discovering a dangerous secret, only to be resurrected as Lady Danger, an Afrofuturistic ass-kicking Agent of B.O.O.T.I. (Bureau of Organized Terrorism Intervention).”
50 Cent shared a screenshot of Deadline’s report on his Instagram page along with the caption “What you doing today, we working @nickiminaj South Side you already know what it is. … I don’t miss,” he wrote.
Minaj replied in the comments of his post, writing “big BIG Queens shit. #QGTM ????️They want action? Tell my n!gg@z cause a scene ???? fully active ????”
