*Grace Jabbari is facing assault charges seven months after accusing Jonathan Majors of domestic violence. The Office of the Deputy Commissioner, of Public Information (DCPI) for the New York Police Department confirmed the information, according to The Messenger. The DCPI anticipates Grace will turn herself into the NYPD’s 10th precinct to answer the desk appearance ticket; police issue these citations as a requirement for suspects to appear in court, and Jonathan’s counter-complaint, which he filed in June 2023. Grace alleges that Jonathan struck her in “the face with an open hand, causing substantial pain and a laceration behind her ear,” and caused injury and pain to her finger and neck. Jonathan is scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 25.
UPDATE: Grace Jabbari is now under arrest as of Wednesday and is booked for “booked for misdemeanor assault and criminal mischief,” TMZ reports. However, Manhattan D.A.’s office has no intentions of prosecuting Grace based on court documents filed in court on Tuesday, yt privilege strikes again, smh.
