*A Los Angeles judge sided with John Singleton’s mother in her dispute with his daughter Cleopatra over a 4-figure monthly allowance she demanded.

Singleton died after suffering a stroke in 2019. His mother, Sheila Ward, said at the time that he suffered from hypertension for years, and that is what likely triggered the stroke. He was 51.

Ward was put in charge of administering her son’s estate. Singleton’s children, Justice, Selenesol, Hadar, Massai, Cleopatra, Isis, and Seven, reportedly share a 1/7 interest in the estate.

In a previous filing, Singleton’s mother submitted her final report as an administrator of the estate. According to court documents obtained by RadarOnline.com, via MSN, the report reveals that “after handling debts and selling off assets, the estate value is listed as $6,858,541.41. The assets include a Los Angeles home, a 1999 Lexus, a 2003 Mercedes Benz, and a 2012 sailboat all worth a total of $2.3 million,” the outlet writes.

As RadarOnline reports, Sheila recently asked the court for permission to stop paying the $2,700 per month for Cleopatra’s tuition.

Here’s more from Radar:

Singleton’s mom explained the allowance was initially approved by the court in December 2019. The funds were to be used to help Cleopatra because she was a “full-time student who did not have other sources of income.”

In her filing, Sheila claimed Cleopatra graduated from Xavier University of Louisiana in May 2021 but was still being paid. Cleopatra argued her grandmother’s request should be denied. She said she was still taking online classes.

Now, the judge ruled that Sheila presented sufficient evidence to terminate the monthly allowance to Cleopatra.

We reported previously that Cleopatra, John’s daughter with Vestria Barlow, is demanding one million dollars from his estate while her mother is seeking back child support payments.
