Is Reverse Migration the Key to Black Success? – The Journal of Steffanie Rivers | WATCH

*I just watched a documentary called “South To Black Power” over the weekend. It’s basically about reverse migration for Black people. The premise of the documentary is that political power, financial power, and land ownership – the three pillars of power in America – would work better for Black people if we return or move to the southeast United States.

All 3.9 million of us. According to the 2020 U.S. Census, there are more Black people in America living in the Southeast than in any other region.

Charles Blow, the documentary’s producer, said the rest should move there to create their own Black Power sector.

If you knew the only way for Black people in America to harness their political power, and financial power and to claim the 40 acres of land promised to freed slaves during Reconstruction could happen only if they did a reverse migration and moved to the southeast region en masse, would you be willing to make the move? Is Reverse Migration the Key to Our Success? Charles Blow thinks so. He produced the documentary. Click the video above for my take on it.
