*Ice-T is warning hip-hop artists to be cautious when giving podcast interviews in order to prevent their words from being misconstrued.
“Artist Public Service: Doing Interviews can be risky if you Don’t know what you’re doing,” he shared on Twitter on May 12. “They will talk to you for hours hoping you say one thing they can TWIST and hype up for clicks. Unfortunately, most podcasts have now DEVOLVED to this BS. Just saying.”
As Vibe reports, Ice-T previously called on artists to stop wearing jewelry in L.A.
“People are still hitting me up about my comments about LA Gang culture,” Ice-T tweeted in September 2022, after PnB Rock was murdered in LA. “If you NOTICE, LA rappers don’t wear a lotta Jewelry… Me, Snoop, Cube, Dre, Game, Kendrick. The list goes on… It’s not cause we’re broke. LA is just a Dangerous place, rapper or not. Why test the streets.”

The “Law&Order: SVU” star added “I have Big Jewelry too… But you don’t wake up EVERYDAY and put it on to go down the block. As I said before… Challenge the hood, somebody’s gonna catch that Fade.”
Meanwhile, in case you missed it… Ice-T earned a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame earlier this year.
“Let me shout out my family,” Ice-T said in his speech at the ceremony, People reports. “My son, my daughter, Coco my wife. [Chanel], who obviously is in the position to stand behind one of these podiums one day. She has no fear of the stage.”
Ice-T was joined by his wife Coco Austin and their daughter 7-year-old daughter, Chanel. Ice Cube, Chuck D, TV producer Dick Wolf, and Ice-T’s “Law and Order” costar Mariska Hargitay also attended the event.
“As simple and as deep and as glorious as that is, and I know that you know in your heart and in your marrow how full the word ‘friend’ is when I say it to you, but I’m going to explain it anyway. You have been such a joy in my life,” Hargitay said at the ceremony. “You are the embodiment of loyalty. You tell the truth. You keep it real.”
