*Black folks are apparently tired of Kenya Barris rehashing the same ol’ race-related themes for his projects.

The writer, producer and director is best known for the television series Black-ish, Mixed-ish, Grown-ish and #BlackAF — all of which have been blasted for their colorism overtones and stereotypes of Black people. Now he’s serving up more of the same with his new comedy feature called “You People” which is set to debut on Netflix on Jan. 27.

The official synopsis reads: A new couple and their families find themselves examining modern love and family dynamics amidst clashing cultures, societal expectations and generational differences. The narrative centers on an interracial relationship and stars Jonah Hill, Lauren London, David Duchovny, and Nia Long. In the trailer we see Hill trying to win over his future in-laws, played by Murphy and Long, who are the parents of London’s character.

“So do you hang out in the hood all the time, or do you just come up here for our food and women?” Murphy’s character says to Hill in the teaser trailer, which you can watch below.

Barris directed the comedy and co-wrote the script with Hill. When Netflix dropped the trailer, fans collectively rolled their eyes because it’s yet another race-obsessed project from the award-winning creator. Barris continually churns out biracial characters because his ex-wife is half-white. Several Twitter users take issue with the casting of Lauren London, who is biracial, to play the daughter of Eddie and Nia.

Urban Hollywood 411 collected some of the best replies, with @kunlemakindee writing, “Kenya Barris might be the most one-dimensional writer working today.”

Twitter user @torijoy09 said, “This is just one long ass episode of Blackish…we’re tired.”

@freddy_gsanford tweeted, “Kenya Barris won’t rest until a biracial baby is born on Mars.”

@MakkeG49 wrote: “Who keeps letting Kenya Barris write shows?”

@DpEsho tweeted: “How many of the same kind of stories will Kenya Barris tell? And why was Black AF cancelled?”

Barris previously responded to criticism about his colorism narratives and casting complaints in a podcast interview saying, “Everyone’s experience and everyone’s opinion in terms of colorism are real. And I understand that. But If you just dug, just a little bit under the surface you will understand that this was based upon, it is biographical, and I was trying to duplicate a version of what my family was.”
