*Fetty Wap’s new holiday song “Sweet Yamz” is getting a lot of attention from some of your favorite celebrities.
The throwback R&B track is a cover of “Yamz,” a 2021 song by Masego and Devin Morrison, nj.com reports, and Snoop Dogg is calling it the song of the year. Charlie Wilson also posted a video of himself singing along to the track — see the Instagram clips below.
The release of the song coincided with Fetty paying it forward by funding a Thanksgiving groceries giveaway in his hometown of Paterson, New Jersey on Nov. 22. Unfortunately, Fetty (real name Willie Junior Maxwell II) couldn’t be there in person because he’s reportedly incarcerated after pleading guilty to a 2021 drug charge.
We reported previously that Fetty was indicted and arrested last October after Federal prosecutors accused him and five others of distributing more than 100 kilograms of cocaine, fentanyl, heroin, and crack cocaine across New Jersey and Long Island.

The feds also say the drugs were from the West Coast and then smuggled to the East Coast via USPS vehicles with secret compartments. Their investigation obtained $1.5 million in cash, 16 kilograms of cocaine, 2 kilograms of heroin, fentanyl pills, pistols, handguns, and a rifle.
Fetty was released from jail on a $500,000 bond but in August he violated the terms of his bail by threatening to kill someone over FaceTime. He issued the threat while displaying a firearm on social media, according to court documents, NBC News reports.

CNN reported that one of the bail conditions was that the hip-hop star “must not possess a firearm, destructive device, or other weapon.”
Fetty’s bond was revoked so he will remain in jail until his trial starts. A date has not yet been set, according to multiple reports.
