Trailer Drops for Supernatural Thriller ‘Body Cam’ Starring Mary J. Blige [WATCH]

*The trailer for the “Body Cam” supernatural thriller from Paramount starring Mary J. Blige and Anika Noni has finally dropped, and we can’t wait to see this one!

The film finds Blige playing a police officer who begins seeing visions and starts to investigate the cover-up.

Synopsis (via Collider):

When a routine traffic stop results in the unexplained, grisly death of her colleague, a cop realizes footage of the incident will play for her eyes only. As the attacks mount, she races to understand the supernatural force behind them.

“Body Cam” is directed by Malik Vitthal from a screenplay penned by Richmond Riedel and Nicholas McCarthy. In addition to Blige, the film also stars Nat Wolff (The Kill Team, Semper Fi) and David Zayas, and will be available to purchase on Digital May 19, 2020 and for rent On Demand June 2. The film will arrive on DVD July 14.

Meanwhile, Blige is next set to star in Kerem Sanga’s “The Violent Heart” as well as the Aretha Franklin biopic “Respect” as jazz singer Dinah Washington. We previously reported that she will also appear in the forthcoming Starz series “Power Book II: Ghost.”

Blige’s film credits include “Prison Song,” “Black Nativity” and “Mudbound,” for which she earned an Academy Award nomination for her portrayal of Florence Jackson. Her song for the drama,  “Mighty River,” also earned an Oscar nomination.
