TAYO Fatunla/National Cartoonists Day – An Annual Recognition

Our Roots - NOLLYWOOD - FIN

*National Cartoonists Day is an annual celebration held on May 5th of every year. It often gives me great joy to remember how my cartooning career began in Nigeria in various newspapers and magazines.

I feel honoured to be one of many cartoonists who have created famous favourite cartoons since the first colour newspaper cartoon was published, on May 5, 1895.

These days, you can find more cartoons on web sites such as my educational OUR ROOTS illustrated, featured here.
