*Contrary to earlier reports, court documents show Tekashi 6ix9ine never testified that Cardi B was a member of the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods.

On Thursday, the embattled rapper addressed Cardi’s gang affiliations on his third day of testimony in Manhattan federal court against former Nine Trey associates Anthony “Harv” Ellison and Aljermiah “Nuke” Mack’. During his hours-long testimony, 69 made the bombshell reveal that rapper Jim Jones is a member of the gang.

Cardi B confirmed last year in a GQ profile that she joined the Bloods as a teenager. Defense attorney Alex Huot questioned 6ix9ine if he “knew Cardi B was” a member of the Bloods, to which 6ix9ine replied, “Correct.”

However, according to court documents, he never once claimed that Cardi was associated with the Nine Trey set, but did acknowledge she was a self-proclaimed Blood, Complex reports.

Cardi responded by denying claims that she’s affiliated with the New York City gang, writing, “I never been 9 Trey or associated with them.” The tweet has since been deleted.

A rep for Cardi also spoke out in response telling Billboard: “This is not true.”

During her 2018 interview with GQ Cardi shared, “I used to pop off with my homies.”

“And they’d say, ‘Yo, you really get it poppin’. You should come home. You should turn Blood.’ And I did. Yes, I did. And something that — it’s not like, oh, you leave. You don’t leave,” Cardi told the publication.

Earlier this year, Tekashi pleaded guilty to nine felony charges and admitted to being a member of Nine Trey. He took a plea and has reportedly been snitching on his associates ever since.

His charges carry a minimum sentence of 47 years in prison, with a maximum sentence of life. However, because Tekashi is cooperating with the Feds, he’ll likely receive a lenient sentence.

The rapper is set to be sentenced in January 2020.
