*As we previously reported, Kanye West sits down with David Letterman for his Netflix series “My Next Guest Needs No Introduction,” which begins streaming on Friday, and during their conversation, Ye touches on a myriad of topics, including music, fashion, his late mother, mental health, his support of Donald Trump, never voting and his beef with Drake.

“An artist which I will not mention, because I’m not allowed to mention him or any of his family members…we had a little beef last year, said Kanye of Drake. He has this line that I love that says, ‘I told my story and made history’—like made his story and made history. That’s what we do, we tell our story and then people relate to that story.”

Letterman also weighed in on Kanye’s bipolar disorder.

“When you’re bipolar, you have the potential to ramp up and it can take you to a point where you start acting erratic, as TMZ would put it…if you guys want these crazy ideas and these crazy stages and this crazy music and this crazy way of thinking, there’s a chance if might come from a crazy person.”

Adding, “When you’re in this state, you’re hyper-paranoid about everything. Everyone — this is my experience, other people have different experiences — everyone now is an actor. Everything’s a conspiracy. You feel the government is putting chips in your head. You feel you’re being recorded. You feel all these things,” he reportedly said during the interview.

“You have this moment [where] you feel everyone wants to kill you. You pretty much don’t trust anyone,” he continued.

West also described being handcuffed and separated from loved ones during treatment.
“They have this moment where they put you — they handcuff you, they drug you, they put you on the bed, and they separate you from everyone you know,” West said. “That’s something that I am so happy that I experienced myself so I can start by changing that moment.”

He added, “When you are in that state, you have to have someone you trust. It is cruel and primitive to do that.”

Naturally, anytime you’re speaking with Kanye West, the conversation will have to include politics and Donald Trump. Check this out, Ye shocked the host when he didn’t vote for Trump in the 2016 election. Yes, that’s news, but what’s bigger news is that he confessed thathe’s never voted at all!  Check out this exchange:

“David Letterman: Did you vote for Trump?

Kanye West: I’ve never voted in my life.

“David: Then you don’t have a say in this.”

Season 2 of “My Next Guest Needs No Introduction” premieres on Netflix May 31.
