*JAY-Z was supposed to close out Woodstock 50 but the rapper has reportedly pulled out of the three-day anniversary festival that’s scheduled to go down next month.

Woodstock 50 has faced a slew of complications and organizational issues in the last few months including permit denials, loss of a financial partner, and most recently, where the event will actually take place.

The original site was Watkins Glen International Speedway, but according to Bloomberg, it may move to the Merriweather Post Pavillion in Columbia, Maryland, in an attempt to “salvage the troubled event,” ET Online reports.

“When we heard that there was an opportunity to save this festival and bring a piece of American history to our community this summer, we jumped at the chance,” Howard County Executive Calvin Ball wrote to Greg Peck, one of the Woodstock organizers, in the documents Bloomberg obtained. “Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia is a jewel of Howard County and one of the top music venues in the nation. It felt like such a natural fit to host a historic festival on our storied stage.”

VIBE reports that the event is now being pitched “as a fundraiser for nonprofits that are dedicated to voter turnout and climate change,’ the outlet writes. The festival may even be renamed “Woodstock 50 Washington.” Organizers are hoping to charge $129-$595 for one-day passes.

Acts scheduled for Woodstock 50 (scheduled for Aug. 16-18) include Robert Plant and The Sensational Space Shifters, David Crosby, Janelle Monae, Brandi Carlile, Country Joe McDonald, Halsey, the Lumineers and India.Arie, per The AP

Next up for JAY-Z is his own summer Made In America festival, set to take place Aug. 31- Sept.1 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Travis Scott and Cardi B will reportedly headline with performances by Lizzo, Lil Uzi Vert, Bazzi, and Gucci Mane.
