*As we previously reported, director Antoine Fuqua, who’s married to actress Lela Rochon, was seen kissing Nicole Murphy, the ex-wife of comedian Eddie Murphy, in Naples, Italy while attending the 2019 Ischia Global Film & Music Fest.
Blogger Love B. Scott immediately reached out to Nicole directly to find out what’s up. She responded by simply noting: “Antoine and I are just family friends. I ran into him in Italy and we exchanged a friendly hello and that was it.”
NFLer and sports commentator Shannon Sharpe, who has a “fondness” for Nicole, came to her defense amid accusations that she’s a home wrecker, writing on Twitter that she and Antoine are ” just friends,” adding: “That’s still my girl and I love her.”

Nicole explained the controversial kiss even further in a comment to TMZ, stating: “Without going into the entire situation, I want to apologize to my family, and to Lela and the Fuqua family for what transpired,” she said.
“It was not my intention to be in this situation. I do not condone women kissing or interacting in any way inappropriately with a married man. I too was once married and I would never intentionally undermine another woman, despite what has been written.”
Fuqua has been married to actress Lela since 1999. According to Hollywood Unlocked, he previously admitted to fathering a child outside his marriage, and reportedly pays over $10,000 in child support for a boy name Roman who he doesn’t have contact with.
Meanwhile, actress LisaRaye publicly threw shade at Murphy over her kissing a married man. She called out Nicole under the photo of her and Antoine in Italy, writing: “you went after @iamlelarochon husband too? … SMH so wrong … again!.”
As it turns out, Murphy wanted to be the other woman in LisaRaye’s marriage to ex-husband Michael Misick.
During a recent episode of Dish Nation, Da Brat confirmed that Murphy tried to shoot her shot with her sister’s husband.
“Absolutely. When my sister was the First Lady of the Turks and Caicos, absolutely,” the rapper said. “It was a couple of them hoes that did that.”
LisaRaye was married to Misick, former Premier of the Turks and Caicos Islands, from 2003 til they called it quits in 2008.
Meanwhile, we’re still waiting for Lela Rochon’s response to all this.
