*Whoopi Goldberg is reportedly demanding that producers on “The View” get her approval first before booking guests for the show, this according to a website called Naughty Gossip.
An unnamed source is said to have told the outlet that Goldberg’s new stand was in direct response to her headline-making exchange with guest Judge Jeanine Pirro, 67, last month. As previously reported, the two had a heated exchange both on air and backstage after Pirro said Whoopi suffered from Trump Derangement Syndrome.
“Surprisingly, the hosts on ‘The View’ stay out of booking the guests. They leave all those choices to the producers and staff but after the incident between Whoopi and Jeanine Pirro, Whoopi wants approval on who will and will not be allowed to join the ladies on the show,” said the insider.
“As far as Whoopi is concerned, she is the main host of the show and she should have a say in who gets on the program and who doesn’t. She doesn’t want people on anymore who she doesn’t like. Whoopi is determined that a fight on-air and backstage with a guest never happens again,” the source told Naughty Gossip.
A spokesperson for the show told Radar Online that no changes have been made to the booking process.
At least not yet.
