the real - the real crew (11-27-18)

*On Tuesday, Nov. 27, the hosts of The Real discuss the incident at the US/Mexican border, where the US Border Patrol fired tear gas upon migrants seeking asylum in the US.

Then co-host Loni Love reveals that when she  found success in her career and loved herself, God didn’t let her down when it came to finding love.

Also, co-host Tamera Mowry-Housley doesn’t want anyone messing with the magic of setting up her Christmas tree, and the hosts teach viewers how to say “Mind Ya’ Business” to nosy family and friends over the holidays!

Loni Shares That When You Love Yourself, Love Will Come to You

Do Not Mess With Tamera’s Christmas Tree Traditions!

Loni Shares That When You Love Yourself, Love Will Come to You

Loni Love: Now.

[The Real audience laughs]

Loni: I was going to say it. But *I* wanted to say it.

Adrienne Houghton: Oh! Well then!

Tamera Mowry-Housley: Say what?

Adrienne: Making sure you weren’t running from it!

Jeannie Mai: What was that?

Loni: If you find you – if you find yourself. And you love yourself, you know what you want in life [starts to cry].

Tamera: Amen.

[The Real audience applauds]

Loni: So.

Jeannie: And you know what you don’t want in life.

Loni: So you will not… when you love yourself, you know when a love is struggle love – and you don’t want struggle love. You want a loyal love. You want a love that you don’t mind just sitting in a car and you guys are ok together.

[The Real audience applauds]

Loni: I don’t know why I’m crying, but… anyway.

Adrienne: ‘Cause it’s real!

Tamera: No, ‘cause it’s real.

Loni: But I think a lot of women don’t – we are taught as women, “You gotta find somebody. You gotta find somebody immediately!” When you’re in our 20s, when you’re in your 30s. “If you don’t find somebody, you’re a old maid! Nobody wants you!” I can guarantee you ladies, if you love yourself and you find out who you are? God is not going to let you down.

[The Real audience applauds]

Loni: He is going to give you whatever you want, whatever that fulfillment is. So, I‘ve been saying that, and I guess maybe I’m crying because for years, I think people thought that I was being phony and false about –

Tamera: Oh Loni…

Loni:  – what I wanted as a woman.

Tamera: Yeah.

Loni: And all I’ve ever wanted to do was entertain people.

Tamera: Yeah

Loni: That’s all I ever – I wanted to see smiles on people’s faces. And I find it an honor every day to be on a show that I can actually entertain you guys and you give it back to me.

Tamera: Oh Loni.

[The Real audience applauds]

Loni: Ok, enough of that.

Adrienne: No, it’s the realest thing.
