*Back in December, Tiffany Haddish posted a selfie of herself and Beyoncé to Instagram along with the caption, “@beyonce was telling me that my wig was slipping… But for real she told me to have fun and I DID!”
Fans went wild over the photo and wanted to know what the women dished about and what, if anything, did Beyonce whisper in her ear?
The “Girls Trip” star explained on Wednesday the events that led up to the pic while speaking to New York Magazine’s Vulture.
“Okay, so what had happened was, something had went down with somebody at the party, right? I’m not at liberty to say what had went down at the party, but Beyoncé was just telling me to have a good time,” Haddish told the site. “And I was like, ‘No, I’m gonna end up fighting this bitch!’ She was like, ‘No, have fun, Tiffany,’ and I said, ‘I’m only going to have fun if you take a selfie with me.’”
After Beyoncé agreed to the selfie, she immediately buried her face in Haddish’s wig, prompting Haddish to ask if her wig was slipping.
“And she was like, ‘Mmm-hmm,’” Haddish said.
But what was most exciting about their meeting was the fact that Queen Bey “knew who I was!,” the 38-year-old told Vulture.
“She came up to me and was like, ‘I think you are so funny, Tiffany Haddish.’ I was like, ‘What? You know me?!’ She said, ‘I’m Beyoncé.’ [Haddish responded] ‘I KNOW!’”
Meanwhile, one of my favorite directors, Paul Thomas Anderson, wants to work with Tiffany on a future project that no doubt will be SPLENDID.
“I know everyone wants to work with you now,” Anderson wrote to Haddish, “but please, may I cut to the front of the line?”
Tiffany has confirmed to Vulture that she has in fact called Anderson directly and now the two have spoken multiple times about a potential collaboration. Haddish says she and Anderson will “probably work together,” IndieWire reports.
