Man Who Killed Former NFLer Joe McKnight Found Guilty of Manslaughter

*In Jefferson Parrish, LA, a jury with only one black member among its 12 – has found Ronald Gasser guilty of manslaughter in the death of former USC and NFL running back Joe McKnight instead of second-degree murder, which was the charge prosecutors had sought.

From the very beginning, the case drew criticisms along racial lines. One of the reasons being that authorities allowed Gasser to go free despite confessing to killing McKnight. On top of that, Gasser had a previous record of road rage charges at the same intersection where he killed McKnight.
